Date Palms on Farm
This is a small buiding in Thermal that is on a date farm. The back part of the building is used for packaging and shipping dates. The front of the building is the retail shop that sells about a dozen varietes of dates, loose by the pound or packaged in 1/2 to 15 pound containers. They have a film that explains where dates come from ,when they came to California and how they are grown. This small area around Thermal is the only place in the country where dates are grown. You can see the Date Palm trees outside of the building. At 59-111 Highway 111, Thermal CA. About 16 miles from Palm Desert.
