Manama, an Arab playground

by lxa71975 - last update: Mar 15, 2005

Here you can see the Sail Monument. It is composed of two large sails raised against each other in opposite directions with a pearl in the middle. It is a tribute to the sailors of the past and to the pearl trade that is so prevelant in the area.

Play Toys

What a beautiful car!!! This was parked outside my hotel one night. Manama was full of nice places and vehicles. It is no wonder why it is one of the arab playgrounds.

Grand Mosque

This is a beautiful mosque. It was located just behind my hotel so I got to look at it everyday.
