Mmm...how to start telling you a bit about this magnificent place.? well, i have to say that it`s more than i expected to see. i though that i was not bigger and it was just a ruins without making sense, besides the way to get there wasn`t beautiful. i mean dry... But friends, fourtunately i was totally wrong... MACHU PICCHU is just an amazing place to visit to. On April 15th, at 6:00am. we (my norwegian friends, and me) started our exploration at VISTADOME train. All the way has several of beautiful landscapes. it was totally green and we were sorrounded by green mountains with a river next to the railway. During the trip we had a delicious breakfast and i had the chance to buy a nice cup from the train company (perurail). All the staff of the train was really nice and helpful... Doing the Inca trail of 4 days it`s really worth as well, but the train company is ok. and perhaps i will have the privilege to get there again...that time will be by walking indeed. ...after travelling four hours and a little more we arrived in a small but pretty nice town called Aguas Calientes. The temperature of the town is warmer and is next to a river...i think that is called URUBAMBA. then, we had to take the bus... the bus went uphill and i remember the DEATH ROAD, while he was going up...because the road is dirt and a lot of courves...oopps and finally after paying our entrances we got into the magnificent ruins...My first impression was as i told you smaller ruins and nothing else. But when i got into the ruins i was totally chocked!!! Machu Picchu is more than that...while you`re getting there you feel something strange...i don`t know how to tell...i just felt something in my heart. Then we walked around and took some nice pics. And finally we climbed a bit to get this panoramic view of the ruins...so, we stayed there for 30min. or more i don`t remember but this is the place to see...HOW BEAUTIFUL IS... besides, as i told you i realized that that day it was my birthday and i won`t be able to forget that day...it was one of my best birthdays. i know that i was not with my family but JIM AND AUD did all their best to full that left space...AND THEY DID!!! after visiting there and came back to Cusco we went to celebrate at a nice restaurant and that unbelievable day end but in time and not in my memories... |
| | how, when, why did they built it??? I have so many questions, also i know that there are so many theories about it...perhaps one day we will know the exact true about this wonderful place...who knows? |
marce in mapi for the second time... at soon, i will try to continue telling about my second travel experience. please be patient with me.
so far i can tell you that one of my favourite songs from now on is "HOY". by Gloria Estefan. |
