Fantastic sunsets! | Sunset from Shirley Heights |
We went to Antigua to celebrate my birthday, and I don't know what I would rate highest about this island as there are many memorable things. The sunsets are fantastic (the photo was one of many taken that holiday!), the people are friendly and the island feels safe and welcoming to tourists. The beaches are clean and plentiful (365 - one for every day of the year) with golden sand, with crystal clear waters. |
| Plonked at the airport - our jumbo stops anywhere |
| | Parking the plane Antigua is a little more relaxed about some of its approaches to the things that everyone else gets uptight about. Arriving at the airport for example. Our huge 747 taxi'd into the middle of a patch of tarmac at random, whereby the passengers got off and meandered freely towards what looked to be the terminal building. No cones, no people in yellow jackets ushering you like sheep, no barbed wire fencing.... how refreshing!
I'd recommend Antigua to anyone planing a caribbean holiday. |
