The Crowne Plaza near the DonauZentrum is a nice hotel with great rooms. It is also just down the street from a u-bahn stop, so it is easy to get downtown. It is also walking distance from DonauZentrum shopping center and a couple good restaurants and clubs. It also has a decent bar in the lobby. The price varies dramatically based on conferences, so it goes from great deal to unaffordable.

The NH Vienna has gone through a complete facelift over the last couple years, and is great for travellers arriving late or leaving early from the airport. The rooms are nice and the hotel bar is ok. The breakfast is very good. It is also easy to catch the train from the airport to the city center. You can't beat the convenience of walking out of the arrivals terminal, crossing a small taxi lot, and checking into the hotel.

I've stayed in this hotel a few times and am always very satisfied. It is a great location, right across from the stadt park, and walking distance to Belvedere, Stephansdom and Staatsopern. The rooms are very nice and the hotel bar is good. The rates vary based on conferences, so some weekends it is ridiculous and some are great deals.
