First Christmas in Europe As we approached our first Christmas living in Europe, we decided that flying back to Detroit with a 8 month old and 4 1/2 year old for a week, was just to daunting of a trip. Yet, we didn't want to spend Christmas in the grey, rainy environment of Wiesbaden. So we started looking for someplace warm to spend the holiday's.
Since we started planning somewhat late, our options were limited, as some popular places were booked. Finally our travel agent suggested Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. It looked far enough south for me, and the weather ended up being perfect, although a little windy.
There is plenty of things to do on Lanzarote and taking both the North and South tours was very worthwhile, and enjoyable for the kids. They also loved playing on the beach in Costa Teguise and there were plenty of bars/restaurants to relax by the water. |
