Florence was one city the met all expectations...both good and bad. For anyone remotely interested in the Renaissance Period it is difficult not to get excited about a long weekend in Firenze. We stayed just across the river, out of the crowds but close enough to walk. Even with 3 small kids in the group, the city was manageable and the museums small enough to keep kids attention spans. The only negative, was we did experience my wife's purse getting snatched from under our table at lunch. A city well worth the visit.
