Bergamo, a gem of Italy

by ettenaj - last update: Nov 27, 2005

Bergamo north of Milan

The main square in the Old Town
The town is split in to two halve, the lower town is quite large and spread out with many shops and restuarants, yet the Old Town which is perched above the lower town seems a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of street life below. Lovely little town with great Pizza shops!!! They are a definate must have when you are visiting this part of the world. Take a walk around the very top and you will have some great views from the castle.
