"Hemet" Hemet by nw10er

Hemet is a small city situated in southern california. it lies 85 east of LA and 44 miles west of Palm Springs. Although Hemet could not be described as a tourist magnet, it is surrounded by some beautiful landscape which is dominated by the San Jacinto mountain.
it has a population of approximately 62,000 people.

i'm from london england and my first visit to the United States was in 2002. i stayed in San Jacinto the first time. the second time i stayed in Hemet; the Western Inn on Florida Ave to be precise. why hemet? i was asked in the bars of the town. ok i had met a couple of ladies from that town while they were visiting London and we became good friends. one of them visited london on a few more occasions and we hooked up and i showed her the sites of this town. i was invited over and over i came.
my impressions of the USA, California, Hemet, San Jacinto? i loved it. i loved the blue skies, the clean air. 85 degree heat when London was freezing. most of all ., i loved the people. they were so warm and friendly
