Somewhere Around New Zealand

by ahcoln - last update: Sep 24, 2005

WOW… It was a great trip! I might not able to give you very good tips on my trip to NZ because I think I know very little about her after I had done it. I can only tell the real story and express my true feeling of my 11 days in NZ. If you want to know more about early winter in New Zealand thru an Asian eye (or you are also an Asian), you might find my travelogues and tips are interesting. However, if you think they are just a crap, then let it be the crap, lol. For instant, I have never seen live sheep before, so I found it was an intriguing experience especially to have such a close encounter to this animals as well as alpacas and kunikuni (a fat & round pig). Furthermore, I had done the first bungy jump in my life at Lake Taupo. On the other hand, I believe from the view of a tourist, some attractions in New Zealand are overpriced or repetition, though they are not tourist trap. I will try my best to organize travel diary into 5 travelogues and for those tips I am going to write, I will make sure it is new (at least new update or new opinion) and not just another redundant tip.

My New Zealand Travelogue Highlights

- I had done the Bungy Jump first in my life at Lake Taupo of NZ.
- Farm tour was an great experience as my first time seeing the live Alpacas, Kunikuni & Sheeps.
- Stunning view of Queenstown and the only town that I found alive during the night.
- Milford Sounds cruising, a must but nothing better to do other than photo-taking.
- Exhilarating & stimulating journey at most of the driving trip.
- Wanaka Puzzling World, last minute visit but surprisingly worth.
- Missed the whale watching in Kaikoura but at least we got the fish and chip.
- An amazing walk to the mirror reflective Lake Matheson.
- More to come...

We would love to see your diary updated for the South Island side, your Noth Island insight from the eyes of a Singaporean is very sincere and as imstress says extremely useful.
