MY DAUNTING TRIP.

The first time I visited NY I was only just out of my teen years and hadn't travelled much at all.The states and especially New York was a big step. I'd heard all sorts of stories about how dangerous New York was and by the time we touched down at JFK I was already dreading stepping out into unchartered territory. To be honest, although we only stayed for two days I couldnt relax for even an hour!! My second trip, some six years later and me six years wiser , was a totally different experience !

March 1995, the photos and TV shows showing the Manhatten skyline had drawn me towards New York again.I had to give it another go. I, with two friends set off determined to have a fun filled week in the big apple. And what a week it was! We did all the touristy things during the day, then went out to the bars and restaurants every night. Meeting so many people along the way.

Pros and Cons

Pros:So much to see; If your'e English, the people love you!!
Cons:There are certain No Go areas.
In a nutshell:Day and night , so much to do!

Oh, just two hrs? Well, next time you def. should check out Uncle Sam's. Yes, I too thought the EU channels only little reported about the USS New York, made from the World Trade Center.

Grant, I have yet to make it to the top of the Empire State Building. Elevator phobia keeps me from doing it. Can you imagine living in NYC with an elevator phobia. Good tips. I would add to the warnings not to expose your iPod if you have one.
