GRANT IN POLAND.

by GrantBoone - last update: Dec 8, 2004

GREAT COUNTRY, FRIENDLY PEOPLE.

Our friend Bob in Jelenia
My one regret on my travels is that I have not seen anywhere near enough of Poland that I would have liked. On my trip through Europe by car we only spent a couple of days driving down the western side of the country from East Germany and on to Czech Rep.But in that time I found that Poland was a fascinating place and one day I will return to see more!
Our first view of Zielona Gora.

ZIELONA GORA.

This was the first town we arrived at once we had crossed the Polish border from Germany. A pleasant town , the hotel was great value ( you can find out more in my hotel tip.) and the people we met were very friendly, even though when ever we spoke they thought we were Australian!!!
Jelenia Gora from our hotel car park!

JELENIA GORA.

Jelenia Gora is a town on the western edge of Poland very close to the Czech border. Bigger than Zielona Gora, we stayed here for one day. We had a walk around the old town square and bought a few souvenirs. Also had a meal in lovely traditional Polish rstaurant.
