GREAT COUNTRY, FRIENDLY PEOPLE. | Our friend Bob in Jelenia |
My one regret on my travels is that I have not seen anywhere near enough of Poland that I would have liked. On my trip through Europe by car we only spent a couple of days driving down the western side of the country from East Germany and on to Czech Rep.But in that time I found that Poland was a fascinating place and one day I will return to see more! |
| Our first view of Zielona Gora. |
| | ZIELONA GORA. This was the first town we arrived at once we had crossed the Polish border from Germany. A pleasant town , the hotel was great value ( you can find out more in my hotel tip.) and the people we met were very friendly, even though when ever we spoke they thought we were Australian!!! |
| Jelenia Gora from our hotel car park! |
| | JELENIA GORA. Jelenia Gora is a town on the western edge of Poland very close to the Czech border. Bigger than Zielona Gora, we stayed here for one day. We had a walk around the old town square and bought a few souvenirs. Also had a meal in lovely traditional Polish rstaurant. |
