FROM SLOVAKIA TO BUDAPEST AND VESZPREM. When my two pals and I first sat down to plan our car journey around Europe, we all chose 3 places each that we wanted to see. I chose Berlin , Poland and Hungary. Hungary has always been a fascination for me and now I had a chance to have a look for myself!! |
| BUDAPEST - WEVE ARRIVED ! |
|  | A DAY IN BUDAPEST. After crossing the Slovakian border into Hungary we had soon arrived at the first big town , Gyor. We stayed for lunch and a few hours later we had reached the beautiful city of Budapest. Time for sightseeing and Photos! |

| | GOULASH IN VESZPREM. After a study of our maps we decided that It would be possible to reach Lake Balaton to the west of Budapest by evening.We arrived in Veszprem and it was getting dark so we decided we would look for a hotel and spend the night here. Hotel Veszprem was to be our resting place, we unpacked and found a restaurant nearby. We all ordered Goulash (well what else!!). It was so filling, we could hardly move!!! Then off to an underground bar near the hotel to meet some friendly locals and finally to rest. SEE MY GENERAL TIP FOR EXTRA VESZPREM PHOTO. |
