My latest adventure saw me travel a lot closer to home. A wedding invitation allowed me to explore parts of the west country I hadnt seen before. We drove down to Tintagel in Cornwall on a friday morning and checked into a B+B on the sea front. The next 5 days would see me pack in the wedding, a day surfing in Bude, avoiding by a day the floods in Boscastle and travelling to Sidmouth in Devon to stay on a farm for 2 nights...........read on!
We started our trip from London to Cornwall in great style as our route took us right past Stonehenge! ( alas no photos this time!! ) Tintagel was our final destination on the rocky coastline of North Cornwall. Home to the legend of King Arthur , with the castle ruins perched high on the cliffs. We also travelled up the coast to the beautiful beach resort of Bude for a day trip.
Friends of ours invited us to stay at their farm in the Bodmin area od Cornwall
We actually stayed for 4 days in a caravan on the farm grounds.
We had a couple of day trips to the coast including a trip to Port Isaac ( pictured).
It was also the furthest I'd ever had to drive !!

Hi Grant, lovely page of your holiday in Cornwall, beautiful pictures. I'm going there next year and I'm NOT looking forward to the steps in Tintagle...
Hello, Grant! I see you had a great stay there....
I have always wanted to say I've been to Land's End. The beach shots remind me of the Enid Blyton books I read as a kid (that is a compliment from a book nerd like me) BUT you need to see some sunny Aussie beaches if this is what Pom ones are like.
Ahhhh, I see, you are that English bloke, I do like your motto, your Camelot Castle Hotel tip - and not to forget the sandcastle building skills! Great Cornwall page! Thanks for checkin' out my Berlin things.
Nice page. It looks quite picturesque in this area, not that keen on all the steps though!
Typical weather forecast this morning - apparently we're "getting rid of the rain"! Not had a stitch up here for a few days - gotta be you southerners "suffering" - and it becomes the national forecast. Poor bunnies! How's life? Gillybob greetings
Gr8 pics mate. I spent a week in a cottage when I was a nipper in Gunislake, remember the strawberries n` cream and steaming hot Cornish Pasties. Makes me home sick seeing your pics, I miss the sea.
Hi ive nearly split myself getting through your home pg Readers letter pg part 1 - need to put a warning there i think!Enjoyed the Tintagel tips - ive walked around the castle site but not been down those steps to the caves...
Enjoyed your hp Grant!Entertaining & informative!I like to start my pages but never finish them!happy more travels! Cheers!
Gheee ... always had in mind to visit Cornwall. Your page has contributed to that idea! Especially the old post office looks amazing!
