Madrid airport and Easyjet, a fav travel mode
July 31, 2005 -- Kendra is back from Europe and will hopefully be posting more photos and tips soon, and Brian is still in Belfast. Above is a wee photo to tell a very obvious story, TRAVELLING!!

April 15, 2005 -- Well, amazingly enough, I'm planning another trip... or two. June 10-July 7 I will be in Europe again. It all started with U2 concert tickets. I originally was just going to see them in Seattle in a week or so, but it was absolutely impossible to get tickets. I have never seen anything like it! I was waiting in line to buy tickets for one show. That show sold out. Then they announced a second date. THAT show sold out while I was still in line. So then Brian bought tickets for U2 Dublin and invited me over... One thing led to another, and before I knew it, I was planning another trip! We're headed back to Paris for a few days, then on to Spain. I have always wanted to go to Spain, so I am thrilled. Madrid - Sevilla - Arcos de la Frontera - Costa de la Luz (Tarifa, Estepona) - maybe Casares - Malaga. I'm excited to practice my Spanish; however, I speak Mexican Spanish, so if anyone wants to teach me the finer points of the vosotros verb conjugation, feel free! And any other Spain Spanish phrases! Also, does anyone have an opinion on the best beach on mainland Spain? (By best, I mean most beautiful! White sand, blue water, less people!?)

Also, I got invited to Mazatlan in November, and since it coincides with my birthday, I thought, why not? I'm not really a tourist resort type of person, but maybe it will actually be fun! And at least I'll get to go back to Mexico!

August 25, 2004 -- I'm just back in the States from being away for the past 7 months. I spent 6 lovely months working in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and a couple of weeks travelling. It was an amazing trip! Belfast- London- Paris- Rome- Florence- Venice- Belfast.

Road Trips and Poetry

Hello everyone! What a website VT is... I went online to check out state parks in California, and here I am two hours later.... a bit of a detour!
Brian and I have decided to pool our efforts into this page, so we're going to be adding some additional stuff soon! I'll probably continue working on the site for the most part, so stay tuned! Kendra.

I'm not a big poetry person, but...

The Road Less Traveled

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth

Then took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet, knowing how way leads onto way
I doubted if I should ever come back

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference

Robert Frost

What a guy, that Robert Frost. And what a poet.

The Uncontrollable Urge
