My tour package came with a buffet breakfast. It's got a good selection of pastries, biscuits, exotic fruits and juice. There are also pancakes, sausage and cheese. The cook will also prepare any styles of eggs. The best part is that you can enjoy your breakfast with a great view of the city at the roof top patio.

The room is clean and tidy. And the safe is free, as it is opened by your room key card. The price range that I chose below is only an approximation, as my package includes hotel and flight.

Unique Qualities: Hotel Plaza is a historic 4-star hotel, which has been serving people since 1905. The magnificant four-storey building is located right at the corner of two streets. The view from the roof top restaurant is excellent. You can see the Malecon and the ocean from here! And don't forget to watch the beautiful sunset from here. Also on the top floor restaurant, there is a wall of photos of famous ppl who have been to the hotel in the past, including Albert Einstein.

There are 2 restaurants and a bar in the lobby. The architecture of the lobby is very beautiful, with decorated columns and fountain.

This hotel is just steps away from Parque Central, Gran Teatro de la Habana, Capitolio National. It is about a 5-10 min walk to the Revolution Museum and the Malecon, plus all the attractions in Habana Vieja.

Unique Qualities: A National Monument that was built in 1875. It was visited by the famous and a number of notable Cuban politicians. Jose Marti gave his independent speech here in 1879.

Richly decorated interior contrasts its plain exterior, with beautiful iron fences, intricately carved ceiling, colourful mosaics and grand arches.

Not much I can say about this hotel since I only visited the lobby and the restaurant.

Unique Qualities: Situated by the oceanside and the Malecon, Hotel Nacional is a luxurious landmark in Vedado. In its heyday before the revolution, the hotel was the only five-star hotel in the Caribbean. Famous politicians, celebrities and mobsters have stayed here.

The beautiful garden is the site of the Santa Clara battery, part of Havana's defence system, dated back two centuries ago. Some of the ditches, as well as a couple of naval guns, are preserved. There is a little museum dedicated to the military history in the garden.

The outdoor garden is full of life! Parrots with no cage sits at one corner, while chicken and peacocks run around freely. The is also a huge cage of lovebirds. There are plenty of comfy sofas lining by the patio around the back of the hotel. It is a perfect place for a break, even though there is no air conditioning! A bar is close by and the waiter walks by often.

I don't have much info about the hotel, as I was here only for about an hour. But it certainly looked like a great place to stay.

Unique Qualities: This 5-star former Hilton has 25 stories, and can be easily reconized by a large fresco on the front wall of the building by a famous Cuban artist named Amelia Pel?ez. The air conditioned lobby and bar is a nice place to escape from the burning sun...which was exactly the reason I went in.
