Laie is my home away from home. It is a center for the Churchof Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There is a temple for the church, along with a woonderful visitors' center. There's Brigham Young University - Hawaii. Laie is located on the picturesque, fun, diversified North Shore of Oahu, out in da country! It's beautiful and the people are wonderful. There are a few falls you can hike to: Laie Falls, Wimele Falls, and Malaekahana Falls. Hukilau Beach is a nice, long, clean beach where families and college students go to hang loose. There is also, of course, the Polynesian Cultural Center - a must-see of any visitor to Hawaii. There is a shopping center with fast-food and restaruants and services like a movie theater, a movie rental, a grocery store, a hardware store, a post-office, hair-cut store, bank, and more. Laie is a peaceful, beautiful place. Go there.
