Viņa del Mar

Golden Sunsets

beach sunset
Now that I've finally gotten off my lazy arse, I have started scanning in a few pics from my South America experience.

I can't seem to find my Chile photos, but here's one taken from my apartment balcony, overlooking the beach at sunset. Absolutely gorgeous!

Viņa was a touristy town, but it oozed with hospitality, and fantastic shopping!! (not for bargain hunters though!)

Please have a look at my Argentina travel pages!!
Chiloe Houses

Chiloe

What a quaint little island! Such a gorgeous place - actually not so little! The people are a bit hesitant, but once you get to know them they're great!

I really enjoyed the slow pace of this island. I didn't see any other tourists, but I'm sure this is a popular destination for foreigners!

Climbing the Torres

They should have called it Torres del PAIN! Man, this is the hardest hike I've ever done. I think because we had a time limit of 3 days, it was absolutely exhausting trying to do everything! I'm SO glad we stayed inside the heated cabin, rather than camping!!!

While we were hiking early one morning, my sisters and I came upon a cow on the track. The cow clopped along in front of us for a while until it freaked out and jumped off the path down into a gulley. It was amusing for a while!
