Kelowna, Pleasures for everyone.

From Lakeside to Hillside.

East shore near Kelowna.
Kelowna, a city of 100,000 people is situated midway down Lake Okanagan a100km long lake in British Columbia. It is 600 kms from Calgary and about the same distance from Vancouver.

The Okanagan Valley is famous for sun in the summer and is the playground of many who enjoy the water, the beaches, the vineyards and the hills around the extensive lake.
Lakeside Park.

Stay and Play awhile.

City Park is located right downtown on the edge of the lake and provides beach access, playground and water park, exhibition area, gardens and tennis courts as well as all types of water sports on the lake.

Monster in the Lake.

There is reputed to be a Loch Ness type monster lurking in the deep waters of the lake. With a length reported to be anything from 9 m to 21 m anda head like a horse or a goat. Not often seen but always rumoured to be somewhere in the waters.

The photo shows a replica on display at the City park close to downtown. You have been warned.
Ogopogo. What's that?

Joyful day--natural beauty of lovely flowers, the lake, vineyards. Sad about dreadful fire in 03; thank goodness it is slowly returning. Orchard Golf Club restaurant sounds & looks splendid. l smiled at your tip's title: "Sitting by the Dock of the Bay"
