"Bludenz, valleys and mountains to explore." Bludenz by dabidc
Bludenz Travel Guide: 16 reviews and 17 photos
I have enjoyed three visits to Bludenz over the years and stayed at the Landhaus Mutter each time. Now it feels like I am one of the family.
A town of about 15,000 people along the road and rail line east from Lake Constance to The Arlberg and Tyrol.
It is built on the south facing hillside and has narrow streets to explore and steeper ones to climb to the cable car to the top of the Muttersburg and some wonderful views all around.
There are several places to visit in the nearby valleys from Lunersee past Brand, to Schruns and on to the Silvretta pass and eventually to Landeck.
Maybe there are more beautiful places or the mountains are higher somewhere else, or the other places are more fashionable. Well that is fine because Bludenz is my style. A little off the beaten path and enjoyable.
- Pros:Friendly, small town, interesting valleys to visit, visit the Suchard factory. .
- Cons:None as far as I was concerned.
- In a nutshell:Always enjoyed the town.

What great views from the top. thanks for sharing it with us ;-)
Outstanding photographs! I like especially the winter ones of the lake - pure beauty!
You are so adept at creating a diary-like presentation of your adventures so that we follow you wherever you go. Bewitching photos, even the one you took with the timer (grin).
Nice mountain views!
I am still attrtacted to this town at the entrance of Montafon Valley!
The valley and the green world is so attrcted, I wish I can visit here someday.
High up in those clouds lies a ver ygrand 4-5 day walk along the crests of the Ratikon. Judgin by the weather, your walk makes inherently more sense;-]
