Singapore is unique! It is an island, it is a country, it is a city. And it is tiny :) with the population of only 4 million people. Only four other Asian countries have fewer citizens - The Maldives, Brunei, Mongolia and Buthan. The island of Singapore used to be known under a different name - TEMASEK in ancient times. It was a center of trade and transport.
I had high expectations of Singapore by the way my friends talked about it. And I really wanted to see it. I was even more fascinated than I expected to be. I would call it a paradise on earth. There is no other place like it. There is so much to do and see here that you should take time to enjoy and explore everything. |
CHINATOWN More than three quarters of the entire population in Singapore is Chinese and China town is one of the must see when there. There is no other China town in the world like the one in Singapore. It is a real Chinatown, but it doesn'e look like one. It is clean, the houses are coulourful and well-maintained and yet you can buy enything you can imagine. Take as much time as possible to look at the beautiful chinese handicrafts. |
| | SENTOSA Sentosa is Singapore's prime island resort only 15 minutes away from the city centre. This used to be a small fishing village that recent developmetn transformed it into an island of many activities. You wouldn't believe how much this small island is offering to tourists until you have seen it yourself. It is a must for all visitors. |
