Walking around Lake garden area offers plenty of sightseeing opportunities. One og them is the tribute to those who died in the communist insurgency of the 1950s.

After a long walk from the centre of town to the Lake Garden Area gives you a reward of a beautiful sculpture park. It looks like one of the favourite spot of Malaysian to get away from the busy centre. It is nice to explore the area and relax under the sunny sky. There are many completely different sculptures in the park and I especially like the narration infron of each one. If it suddenly starts to rain (which often does in KL - we names it "3 o'clock rain") some of the sculptures even become useful as they give shelter from the rain.

Lake gardens are KL's biggest and most popular park. It is located at Jalan Perdana. It is built around two lakes on 92 hectares of tropical garden. The park si so huge, you need to take a day to explore it in detail. It is so peaceful comparing to a busy city centre just a few miles away. It is a place for the whole family. Children are amused by big dinosaurus theme park and playground, there is also a deer park, butterfly park, monkeys all over the place and lots of exotic plants and trees. It is a peaceful place for joggers and anybody who likes to walk all day long.

National planetarium is located at Lake Garden. The planetarium include a space theater, a space science exhibition, a resource center and a viewing gallery. I was also surprised to see the replicas of Stonehenge and ancient Chinese and Indian observatories there.
