Very well maintained 3 star hotel right on the beach. Daily entertainment around the pool is great for family with children. Choice of food which is very delicious is huge. Very clean rooms, good service and very helpfull staff.

Undeground hotel in Matmata

I didn't actually stay in an underground hotel, but I think it must be a wonderful experiance to get to know how the people in this region lead their daily life. If you look at the photo, you can see that thi middle room is a bit tricky and requires some climbing skills. Not recommendable if you are drunk :)
Unique Qualities: If you can't handle the heat this is the best place to hide.

After a bumpy ride through the desert it feels great to be pampered. Ant this 4 star hotel offers just that. It is so well combined with the sandy surroundings, you almost think it is made of sand itself. They offer wonderful shows at nigts to get to know Tunisian culture, especially dancing.
Unique Qualities: Amazingly decorated, amazing food, wonderful swimming at night, view on an old berber village,....
