The 364,000-acre Tillamook Forest is located in the northwest corner of Oregon - just 45 minutes from downtown Portland. It is a second-growth Douglas fir forest, replanted and reseeded from the 1950s to the 1970s.
There are many recreational opportunities including camping, fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing, as well as trail opportunities for hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and off-highway vehicle (OHV) enthusiasts.
