Great weather, great city & a great beach | Me enjoying this wonderful view of Nice beach :0) |
I've been to the Nice area a couple of times so far, and have really enjoyed it both times!
Latest in 2002 when I also got the chance to play the big local 'petanque tournament' (french game) there. We came to late for the inscription of the tournament, but when one of the very good team didn't show up - my team got their spot and got to play our first (and only) match on a big stadium in the middle of the city!
What a cool feeling to play on that stadium, watched by quite some spectators, the weather was perfect and I was only few streets away from this wonderful beach you can see on the photo!
Well, not only Nice, but also the area and the cities around it are wonderful. Not at least the smaller village nearby named 'Canges-sur-mer' is worth a visit. |
