I spent 5 days in Croatia, visiting a little part of the coast and the north islands...one of this was Cres-Lussino....seems to be 2 island, infact is a big long island with a rotation bridg on a rtificial narrow channel that cut into the island in Lussino e Cres...the channel was builded by the roman!
Croatia is near to Italy so in summer a lot of italians go there for the beautifull sea and the landmarks and history.
My trip was in may and the first thing associated to Lussino was the smell of 'resina' ( natural porduct of pine trees), the flowers and the color of the nature....free 'bamby' (dear) near youand the people that don't speach italian, but 'veneziano', Venezia dialect, cause Lussino was a part of Serenissima empire...the people are frindly and polite, the cook well, the fishes are wonderfull and cheap incomparison to Italy.
