| | First impression: wow! Brussels is one of the most impressive cities I have ever seen. It was my first stop on a two week trip, and the start of the greatest vacation of my life. Brussels has a lot to offer to the typical American (or even European) tourist. Expensive restauraunts, designer clothing stores, incredible architecture and of course chocolate! |
Second impression: €200,00 for a shirt? WTF!? As with most cities of this size, it is very expensive. If you walk around the center of the city (right outside of the Grand Place) all you will find are trendy overpriced clothing stores and trendy overpriced restauraunts. | | |
Third impression: wow! After 2 days in Brussels I couldn't help but think (as with most of the cities in Belgium I visited) I could live here! |

Norali Wed Mar 31, 2004 11:47 UTC Glad to see you enjoyed it. Yes, a tourist one would rather make do with French in Brussels. The city is officially bilingual but inhabitants are rather French-speaking (as 1st or 2nd language, that is). |
