where i spent the coolest years of my life

by randychiara - last update: Feb 2, 2004

This is a city where i would like to live again
I spent here a few years of my life when i was a kid, one in the bay area when i was 17 to 18, and 2 more years in 98 and 99

Here i met what are nowadays 2 of my best friends and i understood San franscisco is a mix of European and American style, it's kind of small, the weather is like in the Mediterranean, not too cold not too hot, and last but not least, people are very open-minded, friendly and live the others live!
when i was a kid i lived downtown, then when i was 17 to 18 i lived in Berkeley and in 98-99 i lived in the very downtown, at ellis and mason street, just in front of the Hilton hotel.. which apparently sounds like wow, but it's not such a cool area at night, next to this block there is a *** area of san francisco called the Tenderloin, and man, this is scary at night sometimes
But still it was fun.. when i lived there, i got used to it and i never had problems, even at night
well, i almost never went to this part of town, it was full of tourists, but this pic was taken recently just to have a nice pic of the bridge from the beach ^__^
The nearby Fisherman's Wharf if a tourist trap!

EXCELLENT shot of the fog bank. It takes good timing to get it right.
