I had not heard of the Walim Tunnels, located in the Sowie Mountains until Magor65’s husband Roman suggested that with my interest in modern history the area might be worth a visit. I drove there from Wroclaw and as you approach the area it is really scenic and looks a popular area for walking. There are a number of areas to park a car and wander off on marked trails. |

The tunnels are as much of a mystery to us, Poles as they are to you. I don't think you would have found any explanation of the strange constructions in the guide's words. |
