Prora Beach

Prora Beach

Orora Beach
For most visitors to the seaside resort of Prora, it is the superb beaches that attracts them. But behind the beaches is the largest remaining construction made by the National Socialists. For most visitors to the area they are unaware that the buildings exist. If the building work had never been started then this would have been where the Nazis rocket program would have taken place and not at Peenemunde.

Interesting place with interestinghistory, place of conflict of good and evil, somehow sleepy but you can feel something in the air. But when I am thinking of all forced laboures, fascism and ideas and also the post war period, spooky place.

Very interesting yet crazy stuff! Wow, this is like some science-fiction movie gone bad! Thanks for the peek at Prora.

No matter how practical the idea seemed to be, holidaying en masse somehow doesn't appeal to me

Another fabulous little page with awesome photos. Until the late 90's there was a sort of hostel in the southern end of the building. I spent a few days there, which really was an interesting experience.
