We traveled to Kutno to compete in the AYA Softball Regional Championships. My daughter's team represented Germany in the competition against 6 other teams. Her team was eliminated. However, we, the parents, had a good time. Kutno is a small village about 60 minutes from Warsaw. There is not much to do there as far as tourism goes, except the baseball complex. The Polish people were generally wary of us. According to our guide, the younger folks all must take English in school, but not one was willing to attempt to communicate with us. We stayed at the Hotel Rondo and they were very nice and accomodating (and did speak English).
- Pros:Quiet, small village, good beer!
- Cons:No English, very wary of strangers
- In a nutshell:Nice enough to visit once, wouldn't want to go back or live there!
