| Diego Rivera and me, Mexico |
| | A little about me... My name is Ana Grettel, yes, that's my real name. I'm a proud Mexican girl, that have been living in the last years in USA and México, but with a guilty love for Europe. I'm Currently living in México City, since 2007.
I Have family in many places, none of them in the same place that I'm living, so most of my travels are to visit them.
You will notice that I don't have as many pages as most Vt'ers, that's because I haven't really travel as much , but you can be sure that all my tips are based on personal experience and opinions and all the photos taken by me, unless I'm in it. Some photos are taken with my Canon Digital camera and others with one of my Nokia Cell phones.

| | Traveling with Children Traveling with your child is really the best experience.
So I decide to write some tips for parents that like us, travel with small children.
- You don't need to go to Disneyland or MC Donalds just because you're traveling with a child.
- The first thing to pack is Patience and good sense of humor. and don't think on a child as an obstacle to enjoyment.
- Forget the thight schedule and the long list of places to visit, plan ahead 1-2 places to visit, but be ready to drop the plans and go with the flow if necessary. Don't try to do too much, and plan ahead time during the day for lunch, play and relax.
- If the child can still fit in a stroller, take one with you, even if the child is in age for walking, is probably that he/she wouln't want to do it all day long, or will need it for a nap, to read a book or eat a snack, etc.-Always carry with plenty of healthy snacks (raisings, dry fruit, granola bars, etc.) and drinks. Also carry with some junk food for "emergency" but try to avoid those with too much sugar, some sugar-free candies are a good idea when possible.
-A must when packing is a thermometer, first aid kit, fever medicament, sun block lotion, passport and a recent photo of the child. Also don't forget plenty of toys, coloring books, portable videogames or dvd players (if possible and age appropiate), books, etc.
- For older than 3yrs. take time before depart to talk to the child about the travel plans, some general information, culture, language, etc. Plan ahead some activities or games, something as simple as a picture list for toddlers, to use for treasure hunt could make the child more aware of the new place and to enjoy the visit. (we did this with our son while in Paris, we had a list of thing for him to find each day, as the Eiffel Tower, the mona lisa paint, etc.) If he find them he win a prize. (toy or candy)
