The Baha'i Temple in Wilmette is one of my favorite architecture EVER, and it's the national headquarters for the Baha'i worship, which believes that all religions are ONE and there is ONLY ONE TRUE GOD. As far as I know, most of its beliefs originate in Christianity.

A serene natural park on Lake Michigan. The harbor on the river (don't know what it is) below the Bridge right next to Baha'i Temple looks very different each season. Some U. S. coast guards are stationed on the bank. Either the guards or some others give sailing lessons.

North of Wilmette is Winnetka, where so far I saw only grand 'mansions' and no condo or apt. buildings.
One of the places even further north that I really like is Highland Park, because of the all-summer-long outdoor Ravinia (Music) Festival. Either sit in the Pavilion or on the lawn (student lawn ticket is $10, and bring picnic, folding furniture, candles, and so on), and you will have a very good time. Ravinia Special (Metra) will take you there on a round-trip for $5 (parking may not be easy or inexpensive). I had one of my favorite concerts in this beautiful Park, Yo-Yo Ma and his Brazilian Project. They even brought a Brazilian woman who has a peaceful and heavenly voice.
