Philadelphia is regarded as one of the most beautifull cities of the US. I can only agree with it. It is nice to stroll around and the two markets are very beautifull. Some of the sights that are "liberty related" are pretty strange.. who wants to see the reenactment of the sowing of the first stars and stripes????? Also standing in line for hours to just see the Liberty Bell is beyond my comprehension. there are other sights that are much more interesting and the museum of modern art is wonderfull. Enjoy!! |

thanks for answering re NY and Pilly - your page is fascinating and I was beginning to wonder if there were any reasonably priced hotels/B+B's and I love the sound of La Ryserve and will contact them - do they have a website? |
