We had a large room, with big TV, and sink & fridge. The service was friendly but occasionally overwhelmed with large groups checking in & out. Breakfast is a highlight and well worth staying here, but make sure you arrive on the early side to get the best selection. There is free internet connection, if you can find where they hide the computers. Definitely recommended for families, as its close to Fisherman's Wharf, the cable car lines, and the bus routes. The Powell-Mason cable car route is nearer & less busy than the Powell-Hyde line. The 30 bus route runs up to Union Square.
Unique Qualities: This hotel shares a pool with the Holiday Inn down the road. Some of the rooms have a view across the bay towards Alcatraz. The trams can wake you up in the morning, as the tram stop is across the road, but you may need the early start to get a good breakfast.
