Hungry Monk: Eat with a view

The Hungry Monk only opened in 2004 and is part of a restaurant chain that includes the world famous Duck Bay Marina on the bakns of Loch Lomond.

It is probably the most expensive place in Lochwinnoch for both food and drink, but it is quite classy nontheless.

The food and service are top notch, and if you are lucky enough, you can sit at the window with a view of the hills surrounding Lochwinnoch.

Favorite Dish: The last meal i ordered was the Steak Pie.....and man i was ready to burst after i ate it! Excellent!

The Brown Bull: Local and welcoming

Opened in 1809, this is in my opinion the best place to go in Lochwinnoch for an excellent meal and a great drink!

I often go here with Family and Friends. The food is great, the staff couldn't be friendlier, and the local banter is out of this world!

Until recently, the only food it served was Pub Lunches, however it has recently opened its "Loft" restaurant, and now serves up until around 8pm.

Favorite Dish: I'm unfortunately one of those guys who eat practicaly anything, so i have no particular favourites. If i was to recomend anything, it would be the Spicey Chicken Wraps and Chips! mmmmmmmm, but seriously, everything on the menu is excellent!

The Junction Cafe: Healthy Eating

The Junction is a reasonably new place in Lochwinnoch. Having only been around a few years, it is now one of the busiest eating out places in Lochwinnoch.

Its very quiet inside, and doesn't have a huge amount of atmosphere, but the food and service are great.

It serves everything from toasties to baked potatoes, and even has its own little cake stand. It is also well known for being a place where local artists can sell their work.

Favorite Dish: When i go to the Junction i tend to order a baked potato. Man they are huge, and the amount of topping you get is brilliant!
