We have friends in Burlington, but I only have postcard views to show you, because I was so busy photographing the friends, their pool, house etc., that I forgot to take photographs of my surroundings.!

(May just have to go back to visit them to make amends)

This picture postcard shows a view of Spencer Smith Park with the city in the background.

Every August people all over Canada and United States come for the Rib Fest, and it is held in Spencer Smith Park.They show how they cook their ribs, etc., and have competitions.

There is a big contingent from Texas.

We were able to attend the fest.

The smell is wonderful, and it is a little difficult at times to choose which stall to purchase from. The crowds were huge, it was fun.

This is a view taken from a high rise building.

City Hall is the dominant white structure, with Lake Ontario beyond.

A quote from the picture postcard states:

To honour Mr. Allan, the Burlington Skyway has been renamed the Burlington Bay - James N Allan Skyway. Mr. Allan served as an M.P., M.L.A. and Chairman of the Niagara Falls Parks Commission and was highly regarded for his fiscal management.
