Stopover in Vancouver

by joanj - last update: Mar 18, 2008

The Steam Clock

Gastown Steam Clock
We made a quick two day stopover in Vancouver en route to Waikiki (O'ahu) for my Birthday and Christmas.

I have always wanted to visit Vancouver, so as U.K. to Honolulu is a long flight, we usually do stopovers, both to and from Honolulu.

So this time we chose Vancouver going, and Toronto (for the umpteenth visit - but I love it ) on the way home.

I often read that people say Gastown is a tourist trap, as is the Steam Clock, but I am fascinated by the clock, and why not see this unique clock !.

In my picture it shows the vast amount of steam when the clock strikes the hour.

I will endeavour to add more text and pictures to the Vancouver pages as and when I have the time.

So please feel free to come back and check from time to time. You are very welcome.
