Dome ceiling

So huge that the ceiling of the dome would not fit into the viewfinder, but you get the gist of its size from this photograph.

Church of Santa Marija Assunta

Otherwise known as Mosta Dome.

This picture taken across the street in between the flow of traffic, really shows the vast dome.

It is a beautiful building, not to be missed on a trip to Malta.

Unexploded bomb

This is the replica of the bomb that pierced the dome in World War II while the church was full of parishioners, skidded across the floor (the repair to the floor is only noticeable when pointed out to you) but it did not explode. So it was hailed as a miracle.

Directions: You cannot fail to miss Mosta Dome, it stands out in the village.
