Along the waterfront in Sliema you will find the ferryboats across to Valletta, the many harbour cruise boats, also day trip boats to the neighbouring islands of Comino, Gozo.
N.B. The particular boat you can see here in the foreground was the boat we went to Comino on for a day trip. The boat is named Fernandes it is a 26.5 metre L.O.A. Schooner Rigged Turkish Gullett with a large forward deck, covered stern deck, and a large saloon. |
| | Sliema Church This photograph of the church on the waterfront at Sliema was taken from the harbour cruise boat, the only way I could capture the whole of the church, plus the dome. |
As you get to the end of the promenade in Sliema on the way to St. Julian's bay, there is this huge ball pivoting on water. As you can see there is a place on the promenade where you can sit, in the shade of the trees, also a few little gazebo's are there too. A pleasant place to sit with your thoughts.
The writing at the base reads We do not inherit the earth from our ancesters, we borrow it from our children | | |

| Pros: | "Sliema is a popular place for tourists, and has some of the most expensive real estate on the island, with beautiful views across the harbour to Valletta" |
