I you are interested in War Cemeteries, then take the bus (or car if you have one) up to the Punchbowl Cemetary. There are fantastic views of Waikiki from the top, and spend time to walk around this crater full of loved ones of so many people.
The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, and the Honolulu Memorial, covers 116 acres, and is located in Puowaina Crater, an extinct volcano, referred to in Hawaii as "Punchbowl" because of the shape. Roughly translated "Pouwaina" means "Consecrated Hill" or "Hill of Sacrifice".
In the visitors office you can locate the plot where your loved one lies, and the Veretens Club has produced a fact sheet, which is most interesting, outlining history etc.

The view from Pali Lookout, - windy or what ??

Take a day Island tour, you get an introduction of the island, and then you can go back to your favourite place on the bus/car.

Here is the view from Pali lookout, boy was it windy up there. Good views though.
