The Rocks
The hisoric Rocks area is a joy to wander around.
Settled first by convicts and troops in 1788, it is not a museum, but an area of 19th century heritage on the harbour.

Sydney Opera House
There is a lot more to see than just the Opera House. Once you have walked around the outside, took the photo's, you could join a tour of inside the building. This lasts approximately 1 hour.
I marvelled at the undergound car park, on one of the walls it showed how many levels below ground there were. Check it out if you go there.
The construction of the building commenced in 1959, and was finished in 1973. There are more than a million ceramic tiles from Sweden, that are arranged on the shells in a pattern that resembles the stitching on a sail. The Architect was Joern Utzon.

Sydney Harbour Bridge
Among the most photographed bridges in the world, Sydney Harbour bridge is one of the landmarks of this lovely city.
The view here is taken from The Rocks.
While I did not climb the Bridge, I did walk a way over it on the pedestrian walkway, which gave another view of the Sydney Opera House.
The Bridge spans the harbour from Dawes Point to Milsons Point.
The bridge is 134 metres high, 503 metres long, and 48.8 metres wide and weighs 52,500 tonnes. It was constructed between 1923 and 1932, and is nicknamed "The Coathanger".
Bookings are essential if you wish to climb the bridge.
Address: 5 Cumberland Street, The Rocks.
Directions: down by the Rocks.
