Ride #2 - Warsaw
Ride #2 Buses Review

.
We found the bus to be an
efficient and inexpensive way
to get around Warsaw.

** NOTE ON TICKETS **
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ONE, AND
DO PUNCH YOUR TICKET IN THE
MACHINE WHEN YOU BOARD THE
BUS ....

They have ticket inspectors who
check the riders for tickets, and if
you do not have one, the fine can
be expensive.

This set of pictures will show you a
typical bus, kiosk where they sell bus
tickets, bus stop, and bus tickets ....

Horse Drawn Carriage - Warsaw
Horse Drawn Carriage

.
We found the old fashioned
way to get around:
Horse & Carriage

Granted, alot is now done for
tourist rides now, and as of
Nov. 2006, it was inexpensive
for a ride, because in the off
season, you can dicker with the
carriage owners.

You can still sense the need to
get out and make a living to feed
your family when you see a man
offering a ride in an old beat up
carriage with car tires for wheels.

The pictures you see here are of
the carriages right down below our
apartment when we look out of the
window of our apartment we had in
Old Town Square ....

Ride #1 - Warsaw
Ride #1 Trams Review

.
We found the tram system in
Warsaw fun to ride, because
we do not have trams like the
ones in Warsaw back home.

The are fun to ride, even though
they can be a little crowded at times.

It is worth just getting a ticket, ride
to the end of the line and return.

You will get to see another side of
Warsaw that way, part of where
the locals live and work.

The first picture was our stop near
Old Town ......

Tickets - Warsaw
Tickets Buses Review

.
Tickets to ride the bus are available
at most all the little kiosk stands.

** NOTE **
Make sure you punch the machine
when you get on, because there are
agents who come thru and check
for tickets.

We saw a few people get written up for
not having a ticket, and we understand
that the fine is alot more than the cost
of the ticket.

So a word to the wise, get a ticket for
your ride, afterall, they are very cheap.
