Home is where the heart is... It's a strange place , Teesside.
We have (had) a lot of heavy steel and chemical industry, which is slowly dying out.
However the London media only ever seem to concentrate on the so called 'negative' aspects of Teesside.
We have the Yorkshire Moors 10 minutes drive away, including the spectacular Roseberry Topping and the Monument to Captain James Cook, who needs no introduction! The River Tees itself now is full of Salmon and the Tees Barrage with it's water sports centre is superb!!!!!!
Teesside is the collective name of Stockton on Tees, Norton, Billingham, Middlesbrough, Yarm and several others.......It is the home of the friction match, the Stockton to Darlington Railway and several other celebrated conquests! |
|  | Hard work at the Boro I helped put out these cards on the seats before the UEFA Cup Cup Semi Final against Steaua Bucharest............. we went on to lose in the final in Holland , but that night was amazing!!!!!!!!! |
