Kenosha, Wisconsin: A Hidden Jewel

Part of Kenosha's Marina on Lake Michigan
I live about one half hour away from Kenosha, Wisconsin, and until July of this year [2008], Allan and I had only driven through the outskirts of the town. A friend told me that I should "check it out" because of its location on Lake Michigan, its new marina area, its three historic districts, and its new museums.

So, on a lovely July afternoon, my husband and I drove to Kenosha, Wisconsin to "check it out!"

Me again, checking back to see your new tips and updates since September 26, 2008. Good that you live so close by, so you can go back to that new Civil War Museum when all the exhibits have opened up.

Excellent page Dee, appreciate all the wonderful history and your ever so detailed information. The old electric buses, historical markers, and the ice cream would be right up my alley! Thank you for the lovely tour!
