Delightful Visit to Columbus, Ohio Columbus, Ohio, was a nice surprise for Jill and I because we knew so little about this city, except that it has a world-class zoo. Fortunately, it has way more than a zoo!
We were impressed by all the outdoor art, the Ohio Theatre, the quality restaurants, the various neighborhoods, the parks (especially the Topiary Garden), the beautiful Statehouse, the museums, our hotel, the inside mall right downtown, and, best of all, the incredibly friendly service people and the city residents.
Jill and I styed for two nights, and we were not able to do all that we wished we could. People who say that Columbus is boring must be boring people because there's so much culture, history, and lovely architecture.
Hope you enjoy the photographs and tips about this Ohio State Capital city. |

jillzi Fri Sep 18, 2009 20:20 UTC Such a jam-packed group of tips with something for everyone. That pizza really looks good. The Old Deaf School Topiary Park is amazing, and I would enjoy the book store for sure. | ATXtraveler Sun May 17, 2009 20:51 UTC Another great page. I work for a company headquartered here, so I am looking forward to trying the Sausage Haus. | evaanna Sun Mar 29, 2009 18:05 UTC Great page on the capital of Ohio. I see you have discovered many interesting places - loved the Old Deaf School Topiary Park, the Book Loft and the 'Railroad'. It is a cheering thought that Ohio values not only its veterans but also teachers and firemen. | sourbugger Thu May 15, 2008 12:49 UTC Excellent page (as i would expect of you) - i especially liked the tip about Wendy's. If the seats in there were made of rubber - it could be called Bendy wendy's |
