On a beautiful weekend in early November, 2007, Allan and I visited Macomb, Illinois, to attend a college football game betweeen Western Illinois University [Macomb} and Southern Illinois University [Carbondale] It was a successful adventure [since Southern Illinois won the game], and we had a really good time in this small Illinois town that I had only visited once before.
We enjoyed strolling the campus, seeing the game, and taking a short visit of the square in Macomb.
- Pros:Friendly people, pretty town square

What a abeautiful day for a football game and to connect with this great town. You are so positive and such a spokesperson for close-to-home travel.
What a great trip you had. Looks like a great adventure, especially since the Salukis won the game. Love that Sherman building.
You certainly are loyal alumni. :) I don't even know if my university has a football team at all. Glad you had such a good time in this pretty town.
