Name of Shop: Antichita Arredi D' Arte (Antichi E Moderni)
Among the elegant shops inAsolo is the lovely little shop run by mother and son called "Antichita Arredi D'Arte" (Antichi E Moderni). The name implies that it is an antique store, but it also sells art and modern pieces as well.
The store carries a wonderful array of Murano glass by famous glass makers.
My husband, Allan, saw some of the pieces in the window, and he went inside; after discussion, he purchased one of the deep red vases (the smaller one) for our daughter Jill.
He packaged it quite nicely and included all the literature about the artists. The vase is signed by the artist.
In addition, the shopkeeper's mother gave Allan a lovely little book in English about Asolo.
What To Buy: The best item to buy here would be something in Murano Glass with an artist's signature. It is much cheaper than in Venice or on the Island of Murano.
What To Pay: Murano Glass is quite expensive so expect to pay 100+ Euro.
