Great Place to Sleep, Eat, and Wander | Pink Rose Outside Hotel Ristorante Canadian |
We were on our way to Gaeta and stopped in L'Aquila for dinner, an overnight sleep, and breakfast.
The photograph of the beautiful pink rose was taken outside the Hotel Ristorante Canadian. I love this photo, and it really symbolizes how much we enjoyed our hotel and our dinner in L'Aquila. |
April 6, 2009: Earthquake Hits L'Aquila This April 6, 2009, I woke up to the devastating news that lovely L'Aquila was the epicenter of an Earthquake, and as of this writing, 92 people have died, and 1500 are injured as well as thousands are homeless. The photographs and narratives about this tragedy were hard to process...it brought back our wonderful memories from 2006 when we spent an evening and overnight here in L'Aquila.
My heart goes out to all the residents. |
