Majestic Montagnana

Carrarese Walls
What a picturesque medieval village Montagnana is....a walled city with a "grass moat", twenty-four polygonal towers spaced at regular intervals, a spacious Piazza, a Cathedral that is part Gothic, part Renaissance, a Nunnery, many beautiful Villas, and the famous Sweet Ham of Montagnana--Prosciutto.

The combination is irresistable.

A spectacular fortress, indeed! We have a tiny bridge that has been in the works for 10 yrs. and they did those walls in 2 yrs!! Leave it to you to find a fabulous restaurant. Great review... again.

What a lovely village in Veneto! Ahh, a youth hostel in a fortress, that sounds perfect! And the restaurant.... just looked at the dishes and I miss Italia so much :-))
