Majestic Montagnana

Carrarese Walls
What a picturesque medieval village Montagnana is....a walled city with a "grass moat", twenty-four polygonal towers spaced at regular intervals, a spacious Piazza, a Cathedral that is part Gothic, part Renaissance, a Nunnery, many beautiful Villas, and the famous Sweet Ham of Montagnana--Prosciutto.

The combination is irresistable.

Montagnana is a wonderful page - I just could not imagine trying horsemeat though. Thanks Dee

Our trip here was brief, but El Moro was one place looked like the one to stay in. A wonderful serene village, and you got the best pictures.

What a find. That hotel and dinner sound incredible. Lovely architecture. Enjoyable read.

Incredible little "find". The hotel and its wonderful restaurant were extremely delightful. You and Allan must have such fun exploring this "gems".
